We are honored to announce a special guest lecture by Prof. Ying Zheng from Western University, Canada. Prof. Zheng, who currently serves as the President of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering, is a globally recognized expert in catalytic CO₂ conversion and the transformation of unutilized resources.

Prof. Ying Zheng Canada Research Chair (Tier I), Western University
Zheng教授は、触媒およびクリーンエネルギーを専門とし、特にCO₂の有効利用、水素（H₂）製造、廃棄物のバイオ燃料化（waste-to-biofuel）に向けた新規触媒材料とプロセスの開発において卓越した業績を挙げています。 これまでに200報以上の査読付き論文を共著し、多数の特許技術を創出。2019年から2024年にかけて、スタンフォード大学の分析による「世界で最も引用された科学者トップ2%」に継続して選出されています。
また、2025年米国航空宇宙工学会（AIAA）エネルギーシステム賞、2018年英国王立化学会（RSC）応用触媒賞など、世界的な賞を多数受賞。カナダ王立協会（RSC）、カナダ工学アカデミー（CAE）、英国王立化学会のフェローに選出されており、学術界にとどまらず、現在はカナダ化学工学会の会長として科学コミュニティ全体の発展に尽力されています。
Prof. Zheng specializes in developing novel catalytic materials and processes for applications in CO₂ utilization, H₂ production, and waste-to-biofuel. She has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and created numerous licensed patented technologies. She has been consistently recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists in the Stanford University Analysis from 2019 to 2024.
Her global recognition includes the 2025 Energy Systems Award (AIAA), the 2018 Applied Catalysis Award (RSC UK), and the 2018 Design and Industrial Practice Award (CSChE). An elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK, Dr. Zheng is deeply committed to advancing the broader scientific community as the current President of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering.
