学部4年生の坂田さんがFLOuRISH海外合同研修に参加し、チーム表彰を受賞しました
東京農工大学未来価値創造研究教育特区（FLOuRISH）が実施する「Academic Entrepreneurship Global Program 2026」において、化学物理工学科・学部4年生・坂田さんが国際・分野横断型の研修プログラムに参加しました。
本プログラムには、日本国内および海外の大学から、多様な専門分野を持つ学生が集まりました。参加者はチームを組み、社会課題を一つ設定した上で、それぞれの研究分野の知識や技術をどのように活用できるか、さらに異なる専門性をどのように組み合わせて新たな価値を創出できるかについて議論を重ねました。
坂田さんは、
「国籍も専門分野も異なるメンバーに自分の考えを伝えることは簡単ではありませんでしたが、とても多くのことを学ぶことができました。」
と振り返っています。
最終発表では、坂田さんのチームが提案したアイデアが高く評価され、
- Audience Award
- Transformative Impact to Society Award
の2つの賞を受賞しました。
今回の経験を通じて、研究活動で培った専門知識だけでなく、国際的なコミュニケーション力や異分野連携の重要性を実践的に学ぶ機会となりました。
化学物理工学科では、研究成果の創出に加え、学生が国内外で挑戦し、多様な人材と協働する経験を積むことを積極的に応援しています。坂田さんの今後のさらなる活躍が期待されます。

Final-Year Undergraduate Student Participates in FLOuRISH Global Program and Receives Team Awards
Mr. Rei Sakata, a final-year undergraduate student, participated in the FLOuRISH Academic Entrepreneurship Global Program 2026, an international interdisciplinary training program organized by Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT).
The program brought together students from diverse academic backgrounds and institutions in Japan and abroad. Participants worked in multidisciplinary teams to identify societal challenges and explore how their respective research expertise could contribute to practical solutions. The teams also discussed how collaboration across different fields could generate new value and impact.
Reflecting on the experience, Sakata commented:
“Communicating my ideas to team members with different nationalities and academic backgrounds was challenging, but it was an invaluable learning experience.”
At the final presentation, the team’s project was highly evaluated and received two awards:
- Audience Award
- Transformative Impact to Society Award
The program provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen not only academic and research perspectives but also international communication skills, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering encourages students to engage in international and cross-disciplinary activities beyond their research projects. We congratulate Sakata san and look forward to her future achievements.
