「油滴」のなかで何が起きている？オイルアウト法で結晶の大きさをコントロールWhat happens inside the “oil droplet”? Controlling crystal size using the oil-out method.

液体の分離が生み出す、特異な溶液組成と操作条件の影響とはWhat are the effects of the unique solution composition and operating conditions resulting from liquid-liquid phase separation? ■背景と問題意識医薬品や食品などの製造プロセスでは、溶液から目的の固体を回収する「非溶媒晶析」と呼ばれる技術が広く用いられています。このプロセスにて、目的物質が固体として発生せず、溶液中に別の液相が生じて2つの液体に分かれる現象は「オイルアウト（油状分離）」と呼ばれます。オイルアウトは結晶化を阻害し、製品の品質安定性や再現性を低下させることが多いため、これまでの研究では主にオイルアウトを回避・防止する手法が検討されてきました。しかし、オイルアウト発生時に形成される局所的な溶液組成やその環境を活用した結晶化に関する知見は十分に整理されていませんでした。
