Electron highways in the dark: Rethinking Anaerobic digestion with Direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET)

Prof. Changsoo Lee (UNIST, Korea) will present a lecture titled “Electron highways in the dark: Rethinking Anaerobic digestion with Direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET)”. DIET is a mechanism by which microorganisms exchange electrons directly, without relying on diffusible mediators like hydrogen or formate. This approach offers new possibilities for enhancing anaerobic process performance and expanding its applications.
