有限体積の液体において粘度差に由来する界面流動の新たな特性 Novel Properties of Interfacial Flow Due to Viscosity Difference in Finite Volume Liquids

「放射状に広がる有限体積の流体に形成されるVF」が、地層からの石油回収プロセスや地下水における汚染物質の拡散プロセスで発生していることがわかっており、本成果は、それらのプロセスにおける現象予測の高精度化へ寄与することが期待されます。It is known that “VF formed in a radially spreading finite volume of fluid” is generated in the process of oil recovery from geological formations and the process of pollutant diffusion in groundwater, and this result is expected to contribute to the improvement of the accuracy of phenomenon prediction in these processes.

朝日新聞・記者サロン「理系の女性研究者・現状と課題」に 黒岩 恵 助教 がゲスト. Dr. Megumi Kuroiwa was a guest in a talk event, held by the Asahi Shimbun Newspaper.

化学工学会（粒子流体プロセス部会）フロンティア賞 Frontier Award (Particle and Fluid Process) Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan.

本研究では、ある水性二相系を用い、常温常圧で、部分混和系を実現し、部分混和性が、その流動界面を変形させる能力があることを発見した。A partial miscibility system was realized using an aqueous two-phase system at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, and it was found that the partial miscibility has the ability to deform its flowing interface.
