class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final-Year Undergraduate Student Participates in FLOuRISH Global Program and Receives Team Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Rei Sakata, a final-year undergraduate student, participated in the <strong>FLOuRISH Academic Entrepreneurship Global Program 2026<\/strong>, an international interdisciplinary training program organized by Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program brought together students from diverse academic backgrounds and institutions in Japan and abroad. Participants worked in multidisciplinary teams to identify societal challenges and explore how their respective research expertise could contribute to practical solutions. The teams also discussed how collaboration across different fields could generate new value and impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reflecting on the experience, Sakata commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCommunicating my ideas to team members with different nationalities and academic backgrounds was challenging, but it was an invaluable learning experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the final presentation, the team&#8217;s project was highly evaluated and received two awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Audience Award<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transformative Impact to Society Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen not only academic and research perspectives but also international communication skills, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering encourages students to engage in international and cross-disciplinary activities beyond their research projects.
