When the sun goes down or the wind stops, how can we keep supplying heat?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One promising solution is <strong>Thermochemical Energy Storage (TCES)<\/strong>. Fushimi Lab research explores how <strong>magnesium oxide (MgO) particles<\/strong> can store and release heat efficiently using a device called a <em>fluidized bed<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#x1f31e; Steam concentration matters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Higher steam ratios (up to 90%) significantly increased the discharge temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#x1f300; 2. \u201cSlower is better\u201d for gas flow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lower gas velocity resulted in higher outlet temperatures because the steam stayed in contact with particles longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#x2699;&#xfe0f; 3.
