A wide, shallow container catches rain from many angles but doesn&#8217;t concentrate it much. A narrow, deep funnel concentrates water but only catches it from directly above. This is exactly the challenge solar energy researchers face \u2013 how do we capture sunlight from many angles while concentrating it effectively?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u79cb\u6fa4\u7814\u7a76\u5ba4\u306e\u5927\u5b66\u9662\u751fA\u00efssatou Mboup\u3092\u4e2d\u5fc3\u3068\u3057\u305f\u7814\u7a76\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u306f\u3001\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u7528\u9014\u3084\u5730\u7406\u7684\u6761\u4ef6\u306b\u5408\u308f\u305b\u3066\u30ab\u30b9\u30bf\u30de\u30a4\u30ba\u53ef\u80fd\u306a\u9769\u65b0\u7684\u306a\u4e09\u6b21\u5143\u592a\u967d\u5149\u96c6\u5149\u5668\u3092\u958b\u767a\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002A research team, led by graduate student A\u00efssatou Mboup (Akisawa Lab) has developed innovative three-dimensional solar concentrators that can be customized for different applications and geographical conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Innovation: MultiPro-CPCs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5f93\u6765\u306e\u300c\u653e\u7269\u9762\u300d\u96c6\u5149\u5668\uff08CPC\uff09\u306b\u306f\u5927\u304d\u306a\u5236\u7d04\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\uff1a\u3059\u3079\u3066\u306e\u65b9\u5411\u304b\u3089\u306e\u592a\u967d\u5149\u3092\u540c\u3058\u3088\u3046\u306b\u6271\u3046\u5358\u4e00\u306e\u53d7\u5149\u89d2\u3057\u304b\u6301\u3066\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u592a\u967d\u306f\u65b9\u5411\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u7570\u306a\u308b\u52d5\u304d\u3092\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002\u4e00\u65e5\u306e\u9593\u3001\u592a\u967d\u306f\u6771\u897f\u306b\u5927\u304d\u304f\u79fb\u52d5\u3057\u307e\u3059\u304c\u3001\u5357\u5317\u306e\u52d5\u304d\u306f\u5c0f\u3055\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002Traditional Compound Parabolic Concentrators (CPCs) have a significant limitation: they can only have one acceptance angle, treating sunlight from all directions the same way. However, the sun moves differently in different directions. During a day, the sun travels widely from east to west, but its north-south movement is much smaller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u958b\u767a\u3055\u308c\u305f\u300cMultiPro-CPC\u300d\u96c6\u5149\u5668\u306e\u4e3b\u8981\u306a\u9769\u65b0\u306f\u3001\u65b9\u5411\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u7570\u306a\u308b\u53d7\u5149\u89d2\u3092\u6301\u3066\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002The
