Co\u2082Ti\u2083O\u2088 and unveiled its unusual magnetic properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Frustrated Magnetism?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, magnets have their magnetic moments aligned uniformly. However, in frustrated magnetic materials, competing magnetic interactions cannot all be satisfied at the same time, leading to complex and exotic magnetic states. Such materials hold promise for future technologies like ultra-compact magnetic memory devices based on magnetic vortices known as skyrmions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Features of Co\u2082Ti\u2083O\u2088<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cobalt ions (Co\u00b2\u207a) arranged in a diamond lattice structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Synthesized stably at relatively low temperatures by a topochemical reaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exhibits antiferromagnetic transition at about 4.4 K (\u2212268.75 \u00b0C) with significant magnetic frustration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shows a
