It is used in a wide range of fields, such as weather forecasting, predicting the movement of people (crowds), predicting economic trends, and predicting the transmission of radio waves. Among them, &#8220;Efficient and high-performance manufacturing processes&#8221; in the manufacturing industry (chemical, machinery, food, pharmaceutical, etc.) is one of the scenes where simulation technology is often used, especially in manufacturing processes related to fluids and powders. Processes such as agitation, fluidization and transport, which have been dealt with in chemical and physical engineering, may be viewed differently from a simulation perspective. Recently, machine learning models are being utilized in more industrial fields as the prediction accuracy of machine learning models is improved by deep learning. However, when applying machine learning models in practice, there are various challenges in the small number of data at start-up and the interpretation of prediction results. In this lecture, the challenges of using machine learning models in the industrial field, and the efforts to solve them, the technologies that combine domain knowledge and machine learning models, will be introduced.
