In open systems that exchange energy and matter with the outside world, the state changes to maximize the rate of entropy production. Entropy generation is represented by the product of the \u201cthermodynamic force \u201d (Flow of materials, heat, fluids, electricity, etc.) and the\u201c thermodynamic flow \u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
