electrical energy, and the ones currently in mass production include silicon-based and compound-based solar cells. While these types of solar cells are difficult to break and can achieve high conversion efficiency, they have the problem of relatively high material and manufacturing costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, &#8220;perovskite solar cells&#8221; have been attracting attention as solar cells that can be manufactured at a lower cost than conventional cells. This new solar cell uses a material with a crystalline structure called perovskite, and despite its low cost, it achieves energy conversion efficiency comparable to that of conventional cells. In addition, they are flexible and lightweight, which allows for a high degree of flexibility in installation locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perovskite materials are composed of organic amines, metals, and halogens, and the &#8220;resistance factor,&#8221; which is calculated from the ionic radius of each site, is an important indicator in determining the stability of a new material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been reported that guanidine iodide (GI), one of the amine hydroxides, does not react with PbI2. Despite the fact that SnI2 is less favorable than PbI2 in terms of the aforementioned &#8220;resistance factor,&#8221; Prof. Toshihiko Kaji&#8217;s research group finds that GI and SnI2 do react, and reports on the operation of solar cells.\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Text by N.S.
