class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sakurai research group has shown that a micro-sized aluminum heat sink (supplied by a company) (Figure 1) enhances catalytic activity due to its structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a fluid (gas or liquid) is reacted in a chemical plant, the fluid is made to flow into a reactor and react inside it. Furthermore, the reaction is accelerated by installing a catalyst inside the reactor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The product has a flat structure with holes and fins. Numerical simulations show that the holes and fins disrupt the flow of the fluid and make the reaction proceed more \u201ceasily\u201d than with a simple flat catalyst. (Figure 2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These results are expected to be useful in designing reactors with better catalytic activity and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u6587\u8cac Prepared by: M.J.
